Christy Horn is CCM’s new Development Coordinator! Christy is responsible for developing strategies to build and cultivate relationships with CCM alumni and friends that generate support to advance our mission. She is our “friend-raiser” and money-maker!
A great love of Jesus, a passion for the future of the Catholic Church, and a bursting Marian heart have brought Christy Horn out of early retirement to serve UCF CCM as development coordinator.
As a convert to Catholicism from a United Methodist upbringing, Christy met Jesus in her teens and fell more deeply in love with Him when she journeyed with her sons in the Life Teen Ministry at Holy Name of Jesus, Indialantic.
Christy’s 40-year career encompassed non-profit leadership and fundraising, public relations and marketing, and 18 years running her own businesses. The 11-year higher ed portion of her career culminated as the Vice President of University Relations, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology – a public engineering university. Christy holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University, a Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University, and completed two of Harvard’s executive courses in higher education.
An Air Force daughter and Air Force spouse, Christy enjoys reading, Bible study, the beach and traveling. She and her sweetheart of a husband, Randy, are blessed with a blended family of four sons and two granddaughters—one of whom they love having nearby, Father Benjamin Lehnertz.
